Mary Antonova
In the 1900s, my maternal ancestors arrived in America without knowing English, which posed significant challenges for them. This history fuels my mission to promote literacy and create opportunities for underserved children. My aim is to empower kids who struggle with reading by fostering a love for books and learning. By instilling self-belief, we can boost their confidence to pursue their goals diligently. Through these efforts, we hope to build a foundation for both academic and life success. The BSF Nevada Chapter is dedicated to making a positive impact, one student at a time, with the ambitious goal of improving the world.
I was raised in a community that valued and encouraged helping others. I firmly believe that education is the most valuable gift one can receive. Through BSF, I have the opportunity to support those less fortunate using just my time and effort. It's fantastic that this organization welcomes teenagers, as I am convinced that if we all contribute, we can make a significant, positive impact on the world.
